Still at the hospital, but maybe tomorrow :)

There was a small amount of leaking from the incision behind Brooklyn's ear and so they decided to keep her here today until at least tomorrow.  Other than that things appear to be ok.  She continues to have good numbers in terms of breathing and heart rate and there has not been any sign of infection at this point.  The biggest change today is that they came in and put some liquid on the incision (above the stitches) to seal the incision and thus decrease the likelihood of additional leaking.  After drying that they have also put on a bandage and it should hold well.  The nurse has said the plan would be to go home tomorrow, which would be wonderful.

She also just got a bath (see picture below) and her hair looks a little lighter.  The hair coming in on top of the shunt (where they had previously shaved for the surgery last month) also looks lighter so maybe we'll have another beautiful blonde in the family.

As for the rest of the family, we've been so blessed by Steve and Barbie's kindness over the past few days.  We've stayed with them twice and I'm not sure Nicole has had a better time in her life than the day she spent with Barbie.

Thanks to so many others for checking on us, checking on our house, bringing us needed items, and doing so many other acts of service.  I imagine the best way to re-pay you all is by serving as opportunities arise.  We feel so supported by family, friends, and colleagues, which makes these times so much sweeter than they would be otherwise.
