Post MRI Update

Brooklyn had a MRI yesterday to see how the fluid drained after putting in the external drains.  From what I heard from Jenny (I'm now in Logan), during the surgery to put in the external drains some fluid did drain and it looks like, based on the MRI, there was an air pocket in the space inside the skull but outside of the brain. Today the nurse from neurosurgery came by to pull the air out with a syringe.  The plan is to drain the fluid from that side space and slow down the drain inside the brain so that the pressure inside the brain can push the brain to fill in the side space where there has been air/fluid.  Then they would start to drain the inside fluid again as was the original intent of the shunt.

Thanks for all the interest in Brooklyn's progress and for your continued support!
