First doctor visit

We were able to take Brooklyn to her first doctor visit today.  She did great!  Her weight is down a bit and her temperature has been a bit low but the doctor did not seem to think we needed to worry about these issues too much, especially given that much of her weight loss is likely due to fluid gone from her brain.  He did a pretty thorough check of how she is doing and overall seemed to think she is doing well.

The sad but good part was that when he heard our kids had not yet received their flu shots he strongly recommended they receive them (Aunt Alison would be so happy to hear this).  So, with Ben and Nicole present, they were the first victims. When we told Ben he was pretty upset but eventually volunteered to go first.  Fortunately the nurse was as quick as I've seen with her needle and Ben endured.  Nicole witnessed the whole ordeal and knew what was coming.  Although she was, let's say a bit more difficult to pin down, she got her shot and calmed down a bit after getting a sucker.  Afterwards we stopped at Chik-Fil-A for the promised bribe - ice cream cones - and the kids were happy.
