Look how far we've come

Brooklyn continues to grow, smile, and progress.  I was thinking how fun it would be to put a picture of her when she was born next to one of her today (almost 5 months old!).  Here it is:

We are so happy to see her grow and learn.  She is interactive and a joy to be around.  Of course she cries and fusses, but by and large she makes us smile and is a little slice of heaven here in our home. She loves to be held and we are happy that she has started eating solid foods.

We have also had positive visits of late.  The occupational therapist used the word "shocked" to describe her feelings about how well Brooklyn is doing.  She also got her shots at the pediatrician yesterday and everything seems to be checking out just fine on her growth.

The main focus at this point is to strengthen her neck muscles so that she can start to hold her head up, which would allow for other areas of progress.  It is fun to see her try to hold her head up and she is able to do so for several seconds at this point.  I also love hearing our little Ben pray for "Brooklyn's head to be okay."  He is such a great example of persistent faith and all of Brooklyn's siblings have been wonderful to her.
