We were so happy to have Grandma and Grandpa Young in for an Easter visit on Sunday. They always leave us feeling more upbeat and happy. We also enjoyed having Jenny's niece's family (Karen, Andrew and their cute kids) for dinner and an egg hunt. What a wonderful thing family is.
Of course we are most grateful for the celebration of Easter and the hope it provides. With the uncertainty surrounding Brooklyn, especially those first days of her life, the resurrection took on even more meaning. While we continue to draw hope that she will develop well both cognitively and physically, if that is not the Lord's will we will look forward with even more joy to the glorious resurrection, which will have a much, much longer impact on her and us than anything she encounters in this life. In short, it is good to be alive, and great to know that we will live again with those we love, free of physical difficulties and full of life.
Here are some great pictures Grandma Young took during their visit.
I adore this little girl!! I'm glad the shunt is working well and that she is such a joy to her family. Can't wait to see her again!!
